Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using FutureClear. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use FutureClear.

1. Not Financial Advice

FutureClear is a retirement scenario modelling tool. All outputs — including year-by-year projections, Monte Carlo simulations, and asset drawdown illustrations — are mathematical models produced under assumptions you provide. They are produced for informational and illustrative purposes only.

FutureClear does not constitute financial advice within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 or the FCA's Perimeter Guidance (PERG 8.24). No output from FutureClear constitutes a personal recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or transfer any investment, pension, or other financial product.

You should consult a qualified financial adviser who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority before making any financial decisions. Tax rules are subject to change and may affect your individual circumstances in ways that FutureClear cannot anticipate.

2. Service Description

FutureClear provides a platform for UK-based individuals to model retirement scenarios. The service allows you to:

  • Input assumptions about income, expenditure, assets, and life events
  • Run year-by-year simulations across multiple wrapper types (SIPP, ISA, GIA, Cash, Property)
  • View Monte Carlo simulations illustrating a range of potential outcomes under differing market return assumptions
  • Save and compare multiple scenarios

All calculations are deterministic or statistical models only. FutureClear does not execute any financial transactions, manage investments, or hold any regulated assets on your behalf.

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account with FutureClear, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering
  • Keep your password secure and not share it with any third party
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access to your account
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account credentials

You must be at least 18 years old to use FutureClear. We do not knowingly collect data from or provide the service to anyone under 18. If we become aware that an account has been created by a person under 18, we will close it and delete the associated data promptly.

4. Acceptable Use

FutureClear is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
  • Use the service to provide financial advice or planning services to third parties
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable UK law

5. Limitation of Liability

The projections, simulations, and outputs produced by FutureClear are not guarantees of future performance. Actual investment returns, tax treatment, inflation rates, and other economic variables will differ from modelled assumptions. Tax rules are subject to change by HMRC and Parliament.

Educational content published on futureclear.co.uk — including articles, guides, glossary entries, and explanatory material — is provided for general information only. While we endeavour to keep it accurate and up to date, we do not warrant its completeness or correctness. It does not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. You should verify any information before relying on it and seek professional advice where appropriate.

Tax calculations within the platform use simplified models of the UK tax system. They may not reflect your full tax position, particularly where multiple income sources, benefits in kind, salary sacrifice arrangements, or other complexities apply. You should not treat any tax figure produced by FutureClear as a substitute for professional tax advice or an HMRC self-assessment calculation.

FutureClear is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

FutureClear accepts no liability for any financial loss, tax liability, or other adverse outcome arising from decisions made based on its outputs, educational content, or any other material published on futureclear.co.uk. You use the service entirely at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to seek independent professional advice before acting on any scenario modelling.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FutureClear and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to FutureClear in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Intellectual Property

FutureClear owns all intellectual property rights in the platform, including its software, design, algorithms, and content (excluding your data). Nothing in these terms grants you any licence to use our intellectual property other than as strictly necessary to use the service for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of all data you input into FutureClear. By using the service, you grant FutureClear a limited licence to process and store that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

7. Data Protection

FutureClear processes your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using FutureClear, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

We process your data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. FutureClear is the data controller in respect of personal data you provide.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the application. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

FutureClear reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or if we are required to do so by law, without prior notice. We will endeavour to notify you of any such action where permitted by law.

On termination of your account for any reason, all rights granted to you under these terms will immediately cease.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the application before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of FutureClear after notification of material changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not accept the revised terms, please delete your account before the changes take effect.

10. Third-Party Links

FutureClear may contain links to third-party websites, including government resources, regulatory bodies, and educational references. These links are provided for convenience and information only. We have no control over the content of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of FutureClear shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
